Efficient Techniques For Dehazing Methods

Technology Description

UCSD inventors, in a collaboration with inventors from Korea, have come up with a new technique that enhances methods used to remove haze from images and videos.

The main advantages of this invention are

1) Reduces the memory resources as well as implementation complexity by a factor of 3 (comparing to conventional approach of dehazing in the RGB domain).

2) Reduces computational complexity and memory resources by at least three times (or more) in estimating atmospheric light

3) Any existing dehazing methods can benefit from this invention
