Technology Description

The UCSD Sky Imager is an instrument that helps in the forecasting of solar irradiance one to thirty minutes ahead of time. The instrument is built from commercially available off-the-shelf components but runs a proprietary data acquisition system.

The system is available to license under copyright and includes:

• Cabling diagram
  
• Data acquisition system design and software
  
• Power management board design
  
• Mechanical drawings

If you would like just one or two for your own research use, those can be procured under a Material Transfer Agreement with reimbursement of our direct costs of production + CA sales tax + 15%.
