‘Steddom’ is an avocado tree having a rootstock that has a high tolerance against Phytophthora root rot. It is a relatively slow growing rootstock and that yields heavily, and has a high yield/canopy volume ratio. ‘Steddom’ has a small degree of salt tolerance and appears to be an all-around, excellent rootstock with small stature and low vigor. For these reasons it may be an excellent choice for high density or hedge-row avocado plantings.
