Monoclonal Antibodies Against Prelamin A

Tech ID: 23752 / UC Case 2014-256-0

Innovation

Researchers at UCLA have developed a rat anti-mouse monoclonal antibody against prelamin A.

The LMNA gene encodes lamin A and lamin C. Lamins are structural protein components of the nuclear lamina, a protein network underlying the inner nuclear membrane that determines nuclear shape and size. Prelamin A is the precursor to mature lamin A.
